Ralph Grob The development of different methods to remove gases from a hot, high pressure reform gas stream was studied. The aqueous chemistry models in OLI were used along with the steady state simulation tool Aspen Plus to see which methods should be studied further in the pilot plant. Data sources for the complex chemistry were reviewed and the OLI system was preferred in terms of data accuracy, robustness and applicability to modelling of the process itself. Different electrolyte solutions and concentrations along with plant configurations could be quickly developed and analysed with OLI’s out of the box data approach and the Aspen Plus simulation toolset. |
